Welcome again Lost Ark fans! Today we are going to be taking a look at what we might expect in terms of customizing your characters, as well as weapons and armor. Now a good number of fans have been really speculating on how exactly and to what degree we will be able to customize our characters in Lost Ark. Firstly, it seems apparent that each class will be gender locked. However, it’s a little hard to really complain about such a feature when we are promised to be getting 18 classes from the get go. The amount of work and time it would take to make the opposite gender for each class would be better spent on creating other content for the game. Although gender locking might seem like a limiting feature, that does not mean that each character you create will not have any customization. To begin with, most MMORPGs have some form of beginning customization when it comes to appearance such as facial looks, body physique, hairstyle and voices. As well, as it’s in the name of its genre, playing a “role playing game” makes a player want to really express their character in the most unique way possible to their liking. Therefore, it should be no surprise that Lost Ark will most definitely have a multitude of various weapon and armor styles with enough variety that should appeal to any Lost Ark fan. We can take a look at some of the following images and you will see that both character appearance and weapons/armor will be made visible on your character when you equip them.
3 Different appearance looks for the Summoner class:
3 Different swords for the Berserker class:
Different weapons and hairstyles for the Devil Hunter class:
Another interesting thing to take note of is that it seems evident that certain armor sets may be available among similar classes, which can be seen in the following images of the Battle Master and Infighter:
Final thoughts: To answer the question once again for all asking fans, Lost Ark is absolutely going to have a plethora of customization when it comes to your own unique character, whether it’s your physical appearance, armor or weapons. To expect anything less would be quite a shame since this will be a RPG and any “role playing game” that doesn’t allow this aspect of permitting a player to express themselves to their heart’s content is bound to fail. And it seems that Lost Ark has no intention of failing and will be doing quite the opposite. (Many of the images presented within came from a post created by a Lost Ark fan named Andrés from Chile, thank you!)
